Ford Motor Company’s new EcoBoost engines are not only paying off for consumers, but they’re also paying off big for the company.
According to Ford, the new EcoBoost engine, which is designed specifically to balance power and fuel-efficiency, has already been helpful in attracting more affluent customers to its brands. Best of all, customer satisfaction scores show the EcoBoost to be very popular with current owners.
“We are winning import buyers with EcoBoost,” says Amy Marentic, Ford’s North American group marketing manager for cars and crossovers. “Even better, this new customer is younger and more affluent.”
These new studies were conducted by RDA Group of Bloomfield Hills, Mich. Results show that 100 percent of Lincoln MKT buyers are satisfied with their engine’s performance, power and pickup. As for other Lincoln products, Used Cars Maryland told us 91 percent of Lincoln MKS buyers said they were satisfied with the engine’s performance, and 94 percent of buyers said they were satisfied with the overall operation of the engine.
The EcoBoost will soon find its way under the hood of the 2011 Ford Edge and next-generation Explorer. An all-new 2.0-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost unit will also debut later this year.
