A recent survey by TrueCar.com confirmed that Lincoln was loved by folks aged 65 years or older. The survey revealed that this demographic also loved GM’s Buick and Cadillac brands.
Despite appealing to an elderly demographic, Lincoln is eager to broaden its appeal and make the brand more mainstream. While the premium price tags of Lincoln vehicles warrant a large proportion of older buyers, new models are infused with high-tech features that should make younger buyers also swoon.
In addition to infusing each model with technological goodies, Lincoln will also get seven new or improved products by 2014 to keep the lineup fresh. Although there is no age target for their lineup, Lubbock Car Dealers said Lincoln execs fully expect their products to increasingly appeal to younger buyers over the next few years.
“Lincoln continues to be focused on our plan of becoming a world-class luxury brand that offers exceptional products and a customer experience to match,” said Lincoln spokesman Christian Bokich. “We value all of our customers from past and present and are focused on a progressive luxury customer in the future.”
