Lincoln Gets Its Own Design Team, Studio

Ford has high hopes for Lincoln. According to Lincoln Town Car Indianapolis, In the wake of Mercury’s demise, the Blue Oval is investing heavily in its luxury brand, to enable it to go toe-to-toe with the very best brands from Japan and Germany. According to MD Used Car, Ford is working on rebranding Lincoln, but the iconic brand will also be getting its own in-house design studio working right alongside the product development team.

According to Autoline Daily, the Lincoln designers are moving into their own design space. The separation from Ford-specific designers will allow the team to develop Lincoln-specific interiors and powertrains.

In addition to exciting new styling that distances the two brands from each other, Lincoln vehicles will also be receiving new engine and transmission options that will boost fuel economy ratings while maintaining performance and driving dynamics.
