Just weeks ago, Lincoln made big news by announcing dramatic plans that include bolstering the brand with luxurious new products, class-leading fuel efficiency and an enhanced customer experience. And Lincoln is already living up to that promise with the introduction of the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid—certified by the EPA as the most fuel-efficient luxury sedan in America, with ratings of 41 mpg city/36 mpg highway—and now a new program designed specifically to provide owners with a high-satisfaction dealership experience: The brand will cover all scheduled maintenance for customers who buy or lease a new Lincoln between now and Sept. 7, 2010.

This includes not only oil changes, tire rotations, engine belts and hoses, and routine inspections, but also “wear items” like brake pads and wiper blades, which aren’t normally covered by the new-vehicle warranty. This is no short-term benefit, either. The coverage runs for a full three years/45,000 miles.

It’s further evidence of the confidence that Lincoln has in its current and coming new products, confidence that was boosted significantly by the brand’s results in the recent J.D. Power and Associates 2010 Initial Quality Study (IQS). Analyzing customer satisfaction with new vehicles after 90 days of ownership, the IQS is a key measure of vehicle quality, and Lincoln climbed an amazing 18 places in this year’s study, the most of any brand, to be ranked eighth overall. That’s better than competitors like Infiniti, Cadillac, Audi and Buick.

That’s on top of Lincoln’s second-place overall performance in the 2010 J.D. Power and Associates 2010 Vehicle Dependability Study, in which the brand outperformed every single nameplate in the industry except Porsche.

“Our commitment is to further grow the Lincoln brand and offer our luxury customers the premium experience they deserve and expect,” said Ken Czubay, Ford Motor Company’s vice president of U.S. marketing, sales and service. “Our free scheduled maintenance offer marks only the first step in our plans to further upgrade the Lincoln experience.”

In the near future, the refocused Lincoln brand also will offer its first compact entry in the marketplace, Lincoln-exclusive powertrains, available EcoBoost engines for all models, fuel-efficiency leadership in all new vehicles and the continued introduction of cutting-edge comfort and convenience technologies.

Drivers can expect the new wave of Lincoln vehicles to break later this year with the MKZ Hybrid and the significantly revised Lincoln MKX crossover, which will introduce the first application of the innovative MyLincoln Touch in-car connectivity system.

And they can expect a new dedication to Lincoln quality—as evidenced by this summer’s complementary scheduled service program at Ford Lincoln Dayton—beginning right now.
