Automotive News reports that new models will be coming to the Lincoln lineup very soon. Ford’s product development head, Derrick Kuzak, recently told dealers that seven new or refreshed models will arrive by 2014.
The Lincoln Navigator is one model that will be receiving attention very soon. The SUV will get a twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine option for the 2012 model year to make it significantly more fuel efficient. It will also get a few minor styling tweaks to keep it fresh until its full redesign.
By 2013, MKS and MKZ sedans will receive plenty of attention. They’ll get all-new sheetmetal and more premium materials inside. For 2014, Lincoln’s MKX crossover will be redesigned and it will ride on the automaker’s new global mid-size architecture.
Ford will be making Lincoln products more distinctive, and they’ll resemble Ford products less and less over the next few years.
